Mercy Football Development Academy is a youth football academy based in Mthatha, Eastern Cape, committed to developing young football talent from grassroots to elite youth level. Founded in 2024, the academy provides a structured and disciplined environment where players are trained to grow both as footballers and responsible individuals. We believe football is a powerful tool for transformation, education, and oppurtunity. Our focus is on technical development, teamwork, discipline, and character building. At Mercy Football Development Academy, every player is given the chance to grow, believe, and succeed.
Mercy Football Development Academy was founded by Ziyanda Mercy Qikani with a deep passion for youth development and community empowerment through sport. The academy was established to create opportunities for young players who have talent but limited access to proper football development structures. Our purpose is to nurture disciplined, skilled, and confident footballers while promoting values such as respect, commitment, and teamwork. What makes Mercy Football Development Academy special is our hands-on approach to player development, dedicated coaching staff, and strong leadership. We focus not only on football excellence but also on shaping positive futures for our players.
To provide quality football training, mentorship, and development programs for youth from U11 to U19, using football as a tool to build discipline, confidence, teamwork, and positive community impact.
